Indian Food Festival of Ottawa, 2025, one of the largest food festivals in the city, aims to bring regional and lesser-known South Asian & South East Asian food gems to the world!
As the festival plans to grow bigger and attract a diverse crowd, IFFO reached out to create something that would make the festival communicate that there are layers of undiscovered flavours in the region.
My idea was to create something with regional and tribal art forms that are fading. In South Asia, truck art is very well known for its bold visuals, bright colours and quirky phrases hand-painted on the metal body. I combined the truck art style along with other regional art forms like Warli, Kalamkari, Chittara and Pattachitra.
And as this festival continues, every year, a new theme will be chosen to explore cuisines, art forms region!
